Please join the BHSU History Department alongside friends and faculty as 14 undergraduates present their research at the 9th Annual Student History Conference. You are invited to attend on Wednesday, December 11th in Jonas 110. The day-long conference is scheduled from 8:30 AM to 4:45 PM as students present on a variety of topics, with coffee and snacks included! The Annual History Conference is always a special event in the history department as we gather to share in the accomplishments of our students. East and West River come together for the keynote speaker: Dr. Sara Lampert, an Associate Professor in the Department of History at The University of South Dakota. Dr. Lampert is the author of Starring Women: Celebrity, Patriarchy, and American Theater, 1790-1850 (University of Illinois Press, 2020). The Keynote Address for this year's history conference presented by Dr. Lampert is: "The Dancer Who Caused a Riot: Popular Culture and Celebrity in the Early US." The BHSU Student History Conference is sponsored by the College of Liberal Arts, is free, and open to the public.
