I am a Spearfish resident who is president of the Ranch A Restoration Foundation which oversees the operation of Ranch A located 5 miles south of Beulah, WY, on Sand Creek. Ranch A is on the National Historic Register with the primary log buildings built in the early 1930's. It features the Ranch A Lodge which can accommodate 48 sleeping guests and has a full kitchen, serving room, covered veranda, and large common area. The Smith Family Cabin can accommodate 18 overnight guests with a full kitchen and a sizable meeting room. The large barn is currently used for storage. The facilities host quilters, church groups, retreats, conferences, banquets, meetings, weddings, family reunions, student groups, birthday parties, etc. Others come to simply enjoy the serenity of the setting.
