Walter has worked on well over 30 important dinosaur skeletons since 1996, including the largest known Triceratops (“Big John”), a new species of raptor and two Tyrannosaurs. He has written two books and numerous scientific papers on paleontology. He is the former curator and co-designer of the RMDRC and founder of the AAPS Journal of Paleontological Sciences and the Hell Creek Paleo Society.
Walter and his wife Heather run “PaleoAdventures”, which provides a wide range of services to the education, museum, and tourist industries. These include authentic dinosaur dig tours, fossil sales and educational programs for schools. Their current goals include plans for the construction of a new dinosaur museum in the Northern Black Hills of South Dakota.
