A vanished father. A pill-popping mother. Three sisters harboring shady little secrets. When the large Weston family unexpectedly reunites after Dad disappears, their Oklahoman family homestead explodes in a maelstrom of repressed truths and unsettling secrets. Mix in Violet, the drugged-up, scathingly acidic matriarch and you've got a play that unflinchingly, and uproariously, exposes the dark side of the Midwestern American family. The play is produced in cooperation with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York, NY. The cast of AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY includes: TJ Schmitz (Beverly Weston), Shirlene Joseph (Violet Weston), Laura Floyd (Barbara Fordham), Rob Andresen (Bill Fordham), Jessica Michak (Jean Fordham), Wendy Schamber (Ivy Weston), Lindsy Thomas (Karen Weston), Rene Porter-Stewart (Mattie Fae Aiken), Raul Ponce de Leon (Charlie Aiken), Casey Seger (Little Charles Aiken), Chelsie Bauer (Johnna Monevata), John Hague (Steve Heidebrecht) and Tony Biesiot (Sheriff Deon Gilbeau). The play is directed by Rose Speirs with the assistance of Lee Ann Paananen, and Lindsey Lothrop as stage manager. Free off-street and lot parking is available all within three blocks of the building. The building is accessible for wheelchairs. The HHOH Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to returning Lead?s Historic Opera House to productive use for the enrichment of the community and to provide cultural opportunities for generations to come. Programming support is provided in part by the Adams-Mastrovich Family Foundation, and the City of Lead.
