We meet on the 2nd Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at Killian’s in Spearfish. We use local restaurants and businesses for meetings and guest speakers. We also hold quarterly membership and networking events in various locations in the community.

Description
The purpose of the club is to develop Optimism as a philosophy of life; to promote an active interest in good government and civic affairs; to inspire respect for the law; to promote patriotism and work for international accord and friendship among all people; to aide and encourage the development of youth. The Spearfish Optimist Club is dedicated to supporting youth-oriented programs and activities within the Spearfish community. We do this by conducting minimal fundraisers with maximum benefits that we then grant to social, academic, and athletic youth groups.
