Join us for the 3rd Annual week-long celebration of bicycles, community and fun!
Monday Aug. 31: Community Social Ride-
5PM Bike Decoration Contest students and community are invited to the BHSU campus green.
6PM Community Ride, starting and ending at the Spearfish City Park Bandshell. 3-mile leisure ride through town, all ages and abilities welcome!
7PM Barbeque following the ride featuring local foods at the picnic shelter and live music by Jami Lynn. All donations to support the Bike Co-op!
Tuesday Sept. 1: Beyond the Bike Path, Guided Rides-
10AM Beyond the Bike Path, explore shopping and errand running opportunities downtown by bike. Meet at Blackbird Espresso.
6PM Guided rides. Intermediate mountain bike ride on Big Hill trails, leaving from the Bikek Co-op. All abilities road ride to Bridal Veil Falls in Spearfish Canyon, leaving from Two Wheeler Dealer.
Wednesday Sept. 2: Women's Workshop, Alley Cat Race
5-7PM Women's Workshop at the Bike Co-op. Learn basic bike maintenance and how to fix a flat in a fun relaxed, non-intimidating space, taught by female mechanics. Bring your mother, daughter or sister!
7PM Alley Cat Ride (at dusk) Get ready, get set, scavenger hunt ride starts at the Bike Co-op. Prizes, award ceremony and after-party at Killian's Tavern.
Thursday Sept. 3: Bike Co-op Open Shop, Cruiser Ride and Bike-In Movie
5-7PM Open shop at the Bike Co-op
7PM Cruiser Ride from Bike Co-op to...
7:40 PM Movie in the Park Grab your friends and some popcorn and hop on the bike path to Evans Park (Rocketship Park) for Napoleon Dynamite!
Friday Sept. 4 Bikes Downtown
6PM Bikes Downtown! Come by Downtown Friday Nights for kid's Strider Bike race, a slow bike race. Prizes for winners! Bring your pretty/old/unique/loved bike down for the Bicycle Show and Shine!
6-7PM Strider bike races!
7:15PM Slow bike race
Saturday Sept. 5 Bicycle Garden Tour
2PM Meet at the Spearfish Community Garden for a local garden tour by bike! Four area gardens, 5 miles, bring a water bottle!
Sunday Sept. 6 Dakota Five-O Mountain Bike Race
6:45AM Dakota Five-O starts in the Spearfish City Park.
4PM Awards ceremony and music in the Park.
