D.C. Booth Historic National Fish Hatchery
Rick Mills of the SD State Railroad Museum will be sharing information on Railroads in the Black Hills at the D.C. Booth Fish Hatchery.
Americans have always had a fascination for railroads — there is simply nothing else like them in size and scope. Railroads and our nation grew up together and in ways both good and bad, this dynamic combination changed this continent, its people, and its history forever. The study of this relationship remains important to us in modern times.
Roger Lessly will also be presenting.
Roger Lessly was instrumental in creating the replica Fish Car #3 under the leadership of Steve Brimm at the D.C. Booth Historic National Fish Hatchery & Archives. Roger will be answering questions and talking about the processes undertaken with the Fish Rail Car.
