An energetic, authentic cowboy music concert will be featured on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 7:00 pm at the Historic Homestake Opera House (HHOH) at 313 W. Main Street, Lead.
This special concert trio will perform together for the first time with plans to tour the Midwest this year and in the future. The trio features Black Hills cowboy musician Paul Larson of Rochford, SD teaming up with well-known fiddler Kenny Putnam of Rapid City, SD and award-winning Western Music Association powerhouse Trinity Seeley of Alliance, NE. They will perform a blend of original and traditional cowboy music songs with acoustic fiddle and guitars.
Admission is $15 adults, $10 HHOH members, and $5 for kids (17 and younger with high school identification.)
Tickets in advance will be reserved for this show with general seating available at the door. The ticket booth opens one hour prior to showtime.

Trinity Seeley released her debut album back in December of 2011; reviews include write ups in Western Horseman, Ranch and Reata, Cowgirls in Style, Working Ranch Magazine and True West. She was named one of True West's favorite western artist for 2012. She has received nominations for the Crescendo Award with the Western Music Association for 2012 and 2013; and nominations for Female Western Singer and Western Album of the Year with the Academy of Western Artists in 2012. She most recently received an award with the Western Music Association for song of the year for 2014 for her song "Cowboy Hat". Seeley has been a featured performer at the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko, NV; Cowboy Poetry and Music Festival in Heber City, UT; Durango, CO Cowboy Poetry Gathering; Arizona Cowboy Poets Gathering in Prescott, AZ; and many more gatherings and ag-related events, including a performance last year in Germany.
Larson, well-known in the Black Hills for his rich baritone voice and yodel, celebrated his cd release “Home” in 2014. Larson spent many years competing in and judging rodeos throughout the Midwest is a native of southern MN. He was once introduced by an announcer as “a man with the voice I’d hire to ride circles around a herd of cows to keep them quiet through the evening.” Larson performs at several Midwest cowboy poetry gatherings including Old West Days in Valentine, NE. He also plays a packed schedule touring with Cowboy Culture South Dakota Style (cowboy poet performers Ken Cook and Robert Dennis) and also tours with The Eclectic Sage Cowboys (Boyd Bristow and Kenny Putnam.)
Putnam, a two-time South Dakota Fiddle Champ, began touring and recording with The Red Willow Band in 1975. He was invited by the Smithsonian Institution in 1975 and 1976 to participate in The Festival of American Folk life, demonstrating violin-making and playing. Putnam toured and recorded with Roy Clark for over seven years appearing on The Grand Ole Opry, The Tonight Show, Hee Haw regularly and many other programs. He has played on stages in 48 states, Canada, Bulgaria, and Russia, including the JFK Center for the Performing Arts, Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, and the Oktober Hall in Leningrad. Putnam performed with A South Dakota Acoustic Christmas for all of its 12 years. Putnam continues playing all over the state and owns and operates Image Up, his photo restoration and design business in Rapid City, SD.
