Homestake Opera House Announces Auditions for AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY by Tracy Letts LEAD, SD  The Gold Camp Players community theatre group announce open auditions for Tracy Letts darkly comedic drama August: Osage County on Saturday, January 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Sunday, January 17 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Tuesday, January 19, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Auditions will be held at the Historic Homestake Opera House, 313 West Main Street. Please enter through the back entrance on Julius Street. Auditions will consist of readings from the script. No previous theatre experience is necessary. August: Osage County consists of seven female roles and five to six male roles. The story surrounds a vanished father, a pill-popping mother, and three sisters harboring shady little secrets. When the large Weston family unexpectedly reunites after Dad disappears, their Oklahoman family homestead explodes in a maelstrom of repressed truths and unsettling secrets. August: Osage County will be performed on March 4, 5 and 11, 12, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. and March 6 and 13, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. on the stage of the Historic Homestake Opera House. Free parking is available as off-street and lot parking within 2 blocks of the theater. The building is wheelchair accessible.
