Draw Your Own Movie: A Free Cameraless Film Workshop Celebrating the beauty of the Black Hills. No camera. No projector footage. Just film, and your own hands. On August 22, filmmaker and anthropologist Kathryn Ramey brings a free public workshop to The Matthews, and everyone in Spearfish is invited. This is direct animation: painting, drawing, and collaging straight onto clear 16mm film, frame by frame, until it moves.
