Description
Be one of the over 25,000 people to enjoy one of the largest outdoor festivals in the upper Midwest, July 19-21, in Spearfish, SD. The Festival in the Park includes over 170 craft and art booths, including 20 different varieties of food booths. The Festival in the Park is presented by The Matthews Opera House & Arts Center, a non-profit organization. All proceeds are used to produce the annual festival and assist other arts activities in the greater Spearfish area.
Festival vendor hours are:
July 19, Friday ($5 wristband night): 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. (Band performances from 4 p.m. - 10 p.m.)
July 20, Saturday: 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.
July 21, Sunday: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
To ensure quality, diversity, and originality, every vendor and entertainer applicant is subject to a juried process. Visit the art and craft vendors, food booths, and the Watering Hole Refreshment Garden which provides cold beverages while listening to three days of live music. It’s a perfect weekend in Spearfish City Park.
NOTE: A special reminder that these three days no pets are allowed in the park per city ordinance. No pet sitting is available. The Matthews website has information on local pet boarders.
Park and Ride Service

The parking area for this service is the gravel parking lot directly across from Lyle Hare Stadium, the BHSU football field, on St. Joe Street. It will be clearly marked. The shuttle service is free. For instance, BHSU parking lot pick up at 12:00 and 12:30 and drop off at the park 12:15 and 12:45.
