Spearfish Unite Methodist Women’s (UMW) Group associated with the Spearfish United Methodist Church (845 North 5th St. off Jackson) is inviting area women and men to their annual retreat for the program “Female Empowerment and Personal Growth.” The presentation, made possible in part by the South Dakota Humanities Council, is scheduled for Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 9:30am to 3:30pm, is free of charge, and lunch is included. South Dakota Humanities Scholar, author Marsha Warren Mittman, will be the facilitator.
