Description
BHSU Summer Stage is back again and ready to kick off their 10th anniversary season! The stock theatre company is composed of Black Hills State University students, alumni, and staff, and in less than two months they are given scripts and blueprints to create three entirely different comedic productions. Our first show “Don’t Drink the Water” is written by the hilarious Woody Allen. When the American Ambassador for an unknown European country behind the Iron Curtain leaves the embassy for business, he places it in control of his incompetent son, Axel. Just moments after he departs, the Hollanders – a family of tourists from New York – flee into the embassy for help after they are mistaken for spies. A series of comedic situations arise when Axel develops feelings for their eldest daughter, and relations between a sultan don’t go as planned. The list of ironic characters with the series of mishaps including secret identities and failed attempts of escape, will keep you laughing and on the edge of your seat throughout the show.
