Description
Deadwood: A Story of Movement and Change
The animal-powered vehicle exhibit, Deadwood: A Story of Movement and Change, is a display of the early transportation system that helped settle the American West in the 1880s. The newly renovated exhibit features beautiful backdrops of rural landscapes and city scenes, informative interpretation, and realistic-looking model horses. The exhibit tells the story of how Deadwood matured from a raucous mining camp into a settled city with Victorian fineries that could rival any East Coast city. The exhibit has been in the making for more than three years.
The exhibit is co-sponsored by Deadwood History, Inc., the Deadwood Historic Preservation Commission, and Adams-Mastrovich Family Foundation.
