Description
Bluegrass, country, folk, and gospel concert in Lead this weekend with East of Westreville & Kenny Putnam LEAD, SD - Spend an evening with South Dakota Americana musicians East of Westreville as they perform Americana roots music: bluegrass, blues, gospel, folk, and country as they perform on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 7:30 pm on the stage of the Historic Homestake Opera House at 313 West Main Street, Lead, SD. East of Westreville includes musicians and vocalists Kaija Bonde, Boyd Bristow, and Brian Bonde, with Al Slaathaug and special guest fiddler Kenny Putnam. Americana roots music is an ever-changing mix of music and memories, reminiscent of the days when all that was needed for entertainment was a barn dance or a Philco radio and a comfy chair. Get ready for a great evening of old-timey foot-stomping, hand-clapping acoustic music intertwined with homespun humor. Tickets are $20 adults, $15 for HHOH members, and $10 students (college/high school ID) and $5 kids (12 and younger). Seating is general admission/open seating. To purchase tickets by credit card, call the office at 605-584-2067 or purchase online at HomestakeOperaHouse.org, or purchase at the door. The ticket booth opens one hour prior to performance. Beer, wine, soda, and water is available for purchase. Free parking is available in the back of the building, and also free off-street and lot parking within 3 blocks or less from the theater. The building is wheelchair accessible. East of Westreville is a production of The Comfort Theatre Company, a professional company based in Sioux Falls. Proceeds from the performance benefit ongoing operations, programming, and projects at the Historic Homestake Opera House.
