Deadwood History, Inc. will host A Night at the Brewseum a new event at the Days of '76 Museum on Thursday, April 19, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event is based on a version of Comedy Central’s popular comedy series Drunk History.
History can be serious, but sometimes hilarious things have happened in Deadwood’s past. Enjoy a social sponsored by Crow Peak Brewing Company, tour the Carriage Gallery, and savor beer drinking entertainment by Deadwood Alive’s Calamity Jane and Con Stapleton. As the story is being told by the two reenactors, with some assistance from beer, the big-hearted characters will talk about the “real” story of Wild Bill Hickok from the perspective of his friends. The story will be historically accurate, but neither Calamity nor Stapleton claim that it won’t be told with a slurred vision of history and a few garbled words.
Co-sponsored by the Deadwood Historic Preservation Commission, Adams-Mastrovich Family Foundation, Deadwood History, Deadwood Alive, and Crow Peak Brewing Company.
