The Matthews kicks off its 2016-17 Subscription Series Season with a live concert by A.J. Croce at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 23. The son of legendary singer-songwriter Jim Croce, singer-songwriter A.J. Croce, is a multi-instrumentalist roots-rock artist, known for his boogie-woogie piano playing reminiscent of Dr. John.
