DESCRIPTION:Disney's My Son Pinocchio\, Jr. is the latest performance of the Peanut Butter & Jelly Players.  This play marks the eighth season of The Matthew's children's theater performing on stage.  The performances are at 7:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday\, June 26-27\, and a final performance at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday\, June 28.  Tickets are on sale now for $8 adults and $5 youth (18 and younger).  They may be purchased online at www.matthewsopera.com or at The Matthews? art gallery during business hours\, Monday-Saturday\, 10 am to 5 pm\,  or by phone at 605-642-7973. \n\n \n\nThe 60-minute musical\, designed for middle-school aged performers\, is based on the 2000 made-for-television movie\, Geppetto\, with original music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a few tunes from the 1940 Disney classic Pinocchio. The Matthews children's theater group cast\, also know as the Peanut Butter & Jelly Players\, contains almost 50 students\, ages 8 to 18\, and is directed by Ann Froelich.\n\n \n\nParticipation is free to all children and is partially underwritten with grants from the Spearfish Optimist Club\, the Zonta Club of Spearfish\, the South Dakota Arts Council\, and a private anonymous donor.
