SUMMARY:Mother's Day Care & Share at the Mammoth Site
DESCRIPTION:Mother's Day\, Sunday\, May 8\, 2016 visit The Mammoth Site for free with three non-perishable food items.\n\n \n\nLast year's Mother's Day KOTA Care and Share at The Mammoth Site was cancelled due to weather conditions. However in 2014\, The Mammoth Site received 1\,100 pounds of food for the Hot Springs Food Pantry. The economic conditions have put a strain on families who use the Hot Springs Food Pantry and we have set our goal for 2\,000 pounds this year. Additional cash donations can also be made on Mother's Day. The Mammoth Site will also donate $1.00 per regular paid admission on Mother's Day. In 2014 an additional $170.00 was donated to the Hot Springs Food Pantry.\n\n \n\nThe Mammoth Site is open 9:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. with the last tour leaving at 4:00 p.m. Summer hours\, 8:00 a.m. 8:00 p.m. start May 15.\n\nTravel back in time 26\,000 years ago\, and discover the world's largest concentration of mammoth remains in the world. Your Ice Age journey begins by watching our 10 minute HD informational video that sets the stage for your 30 minute guided tour. Following the video an Interpreter will take you on an adventure around the working paleontological dig site. On your tour you will learn about the in-situ (in the original position or place) bonebed and the discoveries that have been made at The Mammoth Site.
