DESCRIPTION:The Matthews Opera House and Arts Center will host a free artist workshop on Thursday\, May 12 at 4:30 pm. This three-hour workshop led by featured artist Maxwell Green will explore the art of comics and animation. For comics\, the focus will be on character creation strategies\, storytelling\, and sequencing our comics. Animation activities will build off of what was learned with comics\, working towards things like flipbooks and other traditional\, hands-on techniques.
