DESCRIPTION:The Festival in the Park is one of the largest outdoor summer arts and music festivals in the upper Midwest. The Matthews Opera House & Arts Center of Spearfish\, SD\, organizes this popular festival. It serves as the largest fundraiser for our non-profit organization each year. The proceeds benefit arts outreach and help produce the festival each year. This is the largest outdoor art & music festival in the region\, drawing over 20\,000 visitors every year. This year's event will host nearly 160 craft vendors\, 20 food booths\, live music\, and our first children's circus! \n\n2022 Festival vendor hours:\n\nJuly 15\, Friday ($5 wristband night): 4 - 8 p.m. (Live music from 4 - 10 p.m.)\n\nJuly 16\, Saturday: 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. \n\nJuly 17\, Sunday: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. \n\nPark and Ride Service\n\nAs in previous years\, Prairie Hills Transit will provide shuttle service to and from the festival. The parking area for this service is located at Spearfish High School. The shuttle service is free to the public. Prairie Hills Transit will pick up at the high school parking lot on the hour and half hour dropping off at the park 15 minutes later. \n\nA full schedule of events can be found on the Matthews website at matthewsopera.com/festival-in-the-park.
