SUMMARY:37th Annual Spearfish Canyon Half Marathon & 5K
DESCRIPTION:The 37th Annual Spearfish Canyon Half Marathon/5K\n\n\n\nThis event is an annual fundraiser\, which benefits abused and neglected children through the Northern Hills Area CASA Program.\n\nJoin us and be a hero for the CASA Cause!\n\n\n\nVIRTUAL and IN-PERSON Race options for 2023!\n\n\n\nThe HALF MARATHON is a road race down beautiful Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway featuring limestone canyon walls blanketed with coniferous and deciduous trees along Spearfish Creek. Runners begin in Savoy at 7 AM and follow Highway 14A\, Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway\, to the Spearfish City Park.   Cost $70  -  $80 day prior/at event\n\n-All Participants receive a participation medal. Virtual Participants will be mailed a medal for completion of the race if a time is reported.\n\n-Top 3 finishers receive place medals in the following age categories: under 12\, 12-19\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60-69\, 70+\n\n-All registered by June 23 receive a race shirt/tank.\n\n-The Half Marathon course is a certified course (USATF Certificate SD16003BK) therefore participants must run on the left side of the road or will be DISQUALIFIED.\n\n \n\nThe 5K starts and end in the Spearfish City Park. Runners follow the road through the campground and connect with the bike path to the canyon parking lot\, then head back down the scenic byway to reconnect with the bike path to end in the park. Cost $35 -  $40 day prior/at event\n\n-Top 3 finishers receive place medals in the following age categories: under 12\, 12-19\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60-69\, 70+\n\n-All registered by June 26 receive a race shirt/tank.\n\n\n\nVIRTUAL race participants will not receive place medals for the Half or 5K.\n\n\n\nT-Shirts are only ordered for those pre-registered by 6/23/2023\n\nMENS SIZES-Dri-fit TSHIRTS\, WOMENS SIZES-RAZORBACK TANKS\, YOUTH SIZES-TSHIRTS\n\n\n\nShirts and half marathon participant medals will be mailed out to virtual participants following the event date.\n\n\n\nFor more details on the race\, host hotel\, COVID protocals\, etc\, please visit: FAQs\n\n\n\nVIRTUAL race participants will be mailed (to their address entered during registration) a medal(Half) and shirt two weeks following the actual event (July 8).
